The client journey

Four stages, one through-line: your client arrives with language, the session holds what they asked for, the gallery offers real choices, and optional contribution is always opt-in. No stock marketplace; the same editorial register as the rest of Vela.

Preparation

You send a private Vela link. The client works through small, deliberate decisions — light, pose, emotional register, a style reference. They are not "shopping images"; they are building vocabulary. When the door opens, they can name what they want, which shortens the awkward part of a session and makes you the person who set the room up to succeed.

The shoot and the shot list

A portion of the capture follows parameters the pipeline handles well: consistent framing, light that reads cleanly, a pose that does not fight the next step. The list is a guide; you still run the room. Over time, we can align the language of that list with the same seeds we use in decomposition — so partners and in-house curation are not talking past each other.

The transformation gallery

After the shoot, the client receives a private, time-limited gallery. Renders in named styles — charcoal, watercolor, oil register, line, and contemporary painterly — with clear per-image and pack pricing. They choose, pay, and download. You earn 35% on what your clients buy; the split is the same for every style we ship in the standard catalog.

For a studio with a strong signature, we can also run bespoke treatments — the custom path in the same pipeline. That lives on a separate page so the standard offer stays legible.

Optional contribution to the library

If a client elects to contribute, with model release and an editorial check, the image can enter the library on terms you agree. It is not the default, and it is not a back door around boundary. When it does happen, Vela gains contemporary figurative work with real consent, and the client is not "giving it away to a stock site." That distinction matters to us, and to your sitters.
