This intimate study captures the sculptural quality of the human form through careful observation of neck and shoulder anatomy. Pattjjee employs dramatic contrasts of light and shadow to transform familiar musculature into an abstract landscape of curves and planes. The cropped composition eliminates identifying features, allowing viewers to focus purely on form, texture, and the play of illumination across skin. This work continues the classical tradition of using the human body as a vehicle for exploring light, shadow, and three-dimensional form.
